MSP Installation Tips
Good soldering and assembly is essential to Good Tone.
DO NOT APPLY TO MUCH HEAT to the backs of the pots as it can damage them so they will not work properly. Tonemojo does not cover or warranty any damage done by the installer. I recommend that if you do not feel comfortable with installing you own guitar wiring, that you take it to a professional and have them install it for you.
Soldering Tips...
I use a 25 watt weller pencil style soldering iron 40 watts may be a little easier for you for soldering to the backs of pots etc. You need a good clean surface for the solder to stick to. Take some sandpaper or scotchbrite and clean it up if it is dirty or tarnished. I use 60/40 .062 rosin core solder. You can get it at your local electronics or hardware store. Heat up the metal not the solder. If you heat the metal up then the solder will stick to the pores and you will get a good bond vs just melting the solder on top of the metal.

1 Remove your old wiring controls and set them aside, the old metal plate is not needed anymore if there was one in your cavity
2 If your pickups have vintage braided wire you will have to remove the bridge pu so you can slide tubing over lead of neck pu.
3 Short piece of tubing goes on lead of bridge pu to insulate it inside cavity.
4 If your pu leads are plastic coated then tubing is not necessary
5 Open outside lug on volume Pots is for wire from selector switch for each pu
6 Hot lead from switch goes right to input jack
7 Ground from switch goes to back of neck volume pot
8 Ground from output jack goes to outside case of bridge tone pot
9 Ground from tailpiece inside cavity goes to back of neck volume pot
10 Your pickups will now solder right up to the green and black pigtails, green wire is - for ground or braided shield and black is + for black hot center lead
Tonemojo switch color codes:
Red hot + to input jack
Green ground - to back of volume pot
Black hot to center lug bridge volume pot
White hot to center lug neck volume pot
OPERATION of Push Pull Pots in MSP Wiring
When selector switch is in middle and you pull out the push pull in bridge tone both pu's wil be "out of phase"
If you also pull out push pull located in neck tone pu's will be "out of phase in series"
If the neck tone push pull is pulled out by itself your pu's will be in "series"
If push pull in neck tone is pulled out and switch is flipped down to bridge, it will act like a "kill switch"
PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL OR EMAIL ME IF YOU EVER NEED ANY HELP WITH YOUR GUITAR MODS.

Choosing the Right Capacitor for Your Guitar
I have found Tone to be very subjective and "mostly in the ear of the beholder" so tastes will vary just like it does with food.
As a rule the larger value capacitor the more high frequencies it will cut off as it is blended into the circuit. That means that an .047 uf cap will be darker sounding than an .022, and an .022 will cut more highs than a .01 uf cap will. Capacitors don't really do much until you start to roll of your Tone control, then it begins to filter off the highs. When Tone is rolled all the way to 0 it is filtering out highs as much as it can.
Single coil pu's are normally brighter than humbucker pu's. Fender used .1 uf in the 50's ,05 in te 60's and now uases .022 in Strats and .047 in most Teles
